Fuel Use, Car Audio, Handling, Efficiency & Compactness

4.1

"Nikola Tesla fundamentally viewed the universe as a complex web of vibrations, famously stating that to understand it, one must think in terms of 'energy, frequency and vibration'. He theorized that all life and matter exist within a sea of vibration, and that every object possesses its own natural resonant frequency. This philosophical and scientific outlook continues to be explored in modern physics."

I want to place this quote by and about Nikola Tesla at the beginning of this chapter, to give you a bit of an introduction to the highly peculiar world of quantum mechanics — with the authority of a well-known scientist.

My experience: discovering Albat

My first encounter with what will, for now, turn out to be the most wondrous device on this website took place in 2005: I had a Gaia Aqua water vitalizer to deliver to a new customer in Bussum. Now, those things are rather heavy, and shipping by post is possible, but I decided to bring this vitalizer in person. I was received by a friendly older gentleman who was unmistakably a musician, judging by all the instruments I found in his living room. We got to talking about frequencies and their mysterious influence on the qualities of water. My conversation partner was extraordinarily knowledgeable. He turned out to be a well-known and highly regarded conductor of choirs and music ensembles in the Gooi region. After questioning me about my many years of membership in various blues and jazz bands, the conversation grew ever more interesting. As I said goodbye, he gave me an aluminium plaque of about 5 by 12 cm with the name Albat on it as a gift. On the back was a sticker that could be peeled off, after which the plaque could be self-adhesively stuck somewhere.

"Attach this firmly to the cast-iron frame of your piano — also known as the harp, whose task is to withstand the pulling force of thousands of kilos of string tension — and then calmly wait a few days. You'll notice the sound of your piano subtly but unmistakably changes for the better. You won't regret it."

This is what I did, in full confidence, upon coming home, and to my astonishment my piano — at the time a valuable Yamaha concert piano with an extra-tall soundboard — began to sound much fuller, clearer and more open. I was completely dumbfounded when my regular piano tuner, after a few months, remarked with surprise that the piano had barely drifted out of tune, and that we could therefore decimate the frequency of his visits from now on — if this was indeed due to the Albat plaque on the frame. The man was clearly thrown off balance by this experience, probably because he feared something this simple could cost him his livelihood.

The Yamaha has since been traded in for my partner Saskia's Bösendorfer grand piano, and I of course moved the Albat plaque over to the Bösendorfer frame. After that I forgot the whole matter, until I got talking to a new piano tuner who came to tune the Bösendorfer — and who asked me what the Albat plaque on the frame meant. I told the new piano tuner the whole, improbable story, and that's how Albat came back into my awareness. Once again I had to admit that, while I could tell the story with amusement, I still didn't actually understand any of it.

But by then I'd moved a few years further in my thinking, and had also — via theoretical physicist David Bohm (see his "Wholeness and the Implicate Order") — taken note, with growing amazement, of quantum mechanics, and now really wanted to get to the bottom of it. I started googling the name Albat and asking AI about it. I initially thought I was dealing with an American supplier of so-called High End equipment, and had to wait, for example, months until I received a few small (trial) orders of so-called holographic Albat stickers on a sheet of paper by post, which cost me a few hundred euros. I was expected to stick these stickers everywhere: on the turntable, on the speakers, on the amplifier, on the cables, and so on. When I noticed considerable improvements, I finally became truly curious and wanted to get to the bottom of the matter.

That's how I unexpectedly got in touch with Heiko Albat himself, who turned out to be a German engineer and inventor, and who, to my surprise, turned out to live in northern Germany. He turned out to have a reputation in a small circle of High End enthusiasts, and... oddly enough, also in the world of Formula 1 racing cars. All of this based on — as I understood it — a thorough knowledge of the so often misunderstood quantum mechanics, and the associated ultra-small quark particles that, unhindered by our normal sense of time and space, are said to be continuously connected to one another, and so on.

By reading a few rare articles written by Heiko Albat, it became clear to me that I was dealing with an inventor much plagued and mocked by his fellow human beings and the mainstream media, who nevertheless produces and sells highly valued products to a small circle of High End devotees, and who no longer sees the need to explain to closed-minded skeptics what he has to offer. As far as he's concerned, it's take it or leave it: don't ask how it works, just benefit from it. Through Albat's daughter, who plays a role in her father's company, I got in touch with Simon Schijf, who imports Albat's products into the Netherlands. Simon turned out willing to initiate me, as far as our shared knowledge allowed, into the use of Albat's products. Heiko Albat remains sparing with information, but I — even if I mostly don't understand it — can and want to make the most of his exotic products, which convince me because of their effects. So I myself frequently use the AIKSAS device discussed in chapter 3, based on Albat technology, and supply it, in collaboration with Simon Schijf, to hospitality entrepreneurs. Simply because, as a boomer with sometimes overtaxed ears, I benefit from it myself, and because I believe many others could benefit greatly from it too, alongside me.

What's this actually about? The Albat aluminium plaque and the Albat stickers unmistakably have an effect on the instruments and equipment they're applied to. I now understand it, in my own way, as follows: these devices and instruments become, as it were, more compact and coherent as a result, because all the constituent elements or components "re-set" themselves relative to each other after some time. More of a single piece, more of a whole. That would also explain why racing drivers and their mechanics — who, incidentally, for competitive reasons prefer not to talk about this at all — experience that their cars, by analogy with my piano, grand piano and hifi components, sit on the road more as a single block, without unnecessary resonance of their own, handle fuel more efficiently — in short, perform better.

Please note: this is my personal explanation for what I've observed myself — not a scientifically proven effect. Albat technology has not been independently tested, and the claims in this chapter are those of the manufacturer, users and myself, not of any recognised scientific body.

The device: GP24 Power Cruiser

Having said that, I'd like to introduce you to the device in this chapter: the GP24 Power CruiserAll-in price: €289 doesn't just make for a better car, but also for an audibly better audio system.

GP24 Power Cruiser

This USB stick has been treated with Albat's material-focused, influencing SM17 technology. When you plug this GP24 Power Cruiser into a 12V socket in your car, Albat's SM17 technology kicks in and positively influences all parts of the car, including the stereo system.

Use

Plug the treated USB adapter into a 12V socket in your car. Within a few minutes your car is fully tuned.

Delivery

The GP24 Power Cruiser is a specially treated, all-metal USB adapter with USB-3 ports for charging devices with a USB connection. The colour of the USB adapter may differ from the photo. The effect of the GP24 doesn't lie in the functioning of the USB ports themselves — you're buying the GP24 technology. This also works when the USB adapter doesn't function as an adapter; the only requirement is that it sits in your car's 12V socket.

According to the manufacturer there are regular updates that need to be installed — for Dutch Albat customers this has been happening automatically for some time now. So once purchased, you always have the latest Albat technology.

The benefits at a glance (according to the manufacturer)

  • More stable handling (extremely smooth driving)
  • Reduced strain on your body in corners, at speed, on hills, during acceleration and braking
  • Less fatigue from driving
  • Speeds up drainage of rainwater from the windows, for better visibility in the rain
  • Saves fuel (depending on driving style and vehicle, between 0.5 and 0.8 litres per 100 km)
  • Crystal-clear and fuller sound from the car stereo (Diapason d'Or, hifi-award-winning Sound Technology)

With the GP24 Power Cruiser, the bodywork is optimally tuned for relaxed driving. Purely for the enjoyment.

By adapting your driving style to the new handling characteristics, even more fuel can be saved: the reduction in rolling and friction resistance gives you the ability to let your vehicle coast more and take your foot off the accelerator sooner. And because your car already has power at a lower RPM, you can shift up sooner.

Please note: the above is the manufacturer's own description and the manufacturer's own claims. Effects such as fuel savings and driving behaviour have not been independently measured and may vary by car and driving style.

What customers say

The reactions below come from users of the Le Mans Racer, the circuit-oriented version of the same Albat SM17 technology also found in the Power Cruiser. They drive at the sharp end, so their experiences are somewhat more extreme than what you'll notice on public roads — but they nicely illustrate what the underlying technology does.

"Nachdem ich über ein Jahr lang mit mir gerungen habe, habe ich mir vor Kurzem nun doch einen Albat Tuning-Adapter gekauft. Als hätte ich ein völlig neues Auto! Der Apparat fährt sich jetzt so gut! Ich weiß nicht, ob das jetzt wirklich so ist, aber der Motor fühlt sich zumindest an, als hätte er jetzt mehr Power. Das Auto lässt sich jetzt auch definitiv leichter durch Kurven zirkeln."

(Translation: "After wrestling with myself for over a year, I recently bought an Albat tuning adapter after all. It's like having a completely new car! The car drives so well now! I don't know if it's really true, but the engine at least feels like it has more power now. The car also definitely steers more easily through corners now.")

— Cem D. / Golf GTI

"Wer behauptet der GP24 Le Mans Racer (Tuning-Adapter) von Albat brächte keine nennenswerte Verbesserung, hat entweder selbst noch keinen ausprobiert, leugnet die Realität oder besitzt absolut 'kein Gefühl für fahrbare Untersätze'. Ich benutze jeweils einen in meinem 911er und einen im VW Touareg meiner Frau und bin von dem, was dieses Tuning mit unseren Autos macht, wirklich schwer angetan."

(Translation: "Whoever claims the GP24 Le Mans Racer from Albat brings no noticeable improvement either hasn't tried one themselves, is denying reality, or simply has absolutely 'no feel for cars'. I use one in my 911 and one in my wife's VW Touareg, and I'm truly impressed by what this tuning does to our cars.")
